About Marta Rose-Thorpe. Host of Grand Lagoon Life with Marta

Marta Rose-Thorpe is the host of the Grand Lagoon Life with Marta Segment on Fired Up with Blanca on True Oldies Radio. Marta will serve as the “North Florida Lifestyle” Correspondent reporting on life from the Grand Lagoon located in Panama City Beach, Florida. Marta graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Advertising & Public Relations, then headed to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Advertising.  Her experience includes working at several boutique ad agencies, marketing work for Coldwell Banker’s Greater LA Region, producing internet conferences, and working in the luxury shoe market.  In 1994 she launched Malibu Catering & Event Production which produced weddings, art gallery openings, and numerous events for the film and TV industry.  She also composed music and choreographed musicals during her time in Los Angeles.  She returned to Florida in ‘04, became Director of Communications for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce, and in 2013 joined the team of Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach as Strategic Branding & Events Manager of North Florida.  She launched Marta Rose Productions in 2016 to help business owners and leaders with their branding, ad campaigns, marketing and events.  The following year she launched Grand Lagoon Life, a media company focused on publishing, events and social media, to further assist business owners and leaders and is also the publisher of Grand Lagoon Life Magazine.  Marta helped Blanca produce three (3) Women’s Empowerment Masterminds in 2019 and also co-hosted the 3 Masterminds events with Laws of Life, LLC.   Marta is happily married to her “Lifemate and Rock” Jimy Thorpe, and the two enjoy life with their teenage sons, Leo, Cruz and Mako.  When not working Marta enjoys dancing, singing, jogging, cooking, creating music and travel.
